I know you are asking about a print on canvas, but for an image of a stain glass window, which I guess is back lit, canvas would be the very last print medium I would chose/suggest.
I would be suggesting things like prints under acrylic on a metalic finish paper as producing a nuch better result. A product that brings out the saturation and vibrance of the original coloured glass.
Generally canvas has very low vibrance and saturation, the opposite to what you would expect for the subject matter. I will though admit the last time I shot stained glass it was on Kodachrome 25. The projected slides were very nice to look at though.
This is a great point that Alan brings up. Typically, images look best when printed on a medium that is similar to the subject matter, inasmuch as texture is concerned. Photos of soft things normally look best when printed on canvas, while photos of hard reflective things usually look best when printed on smooth, hard, reflective surfaces. Stained glass is about as hard and reflective as it gets.

"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".
