Everglades Rattlesnake

I watched this Rattlesnake get caught in the middle of the main road in the Everglades National Park. A couple of cars hit it and I knew he was a goner but he managed
to quickly move off the road and into the brush. He lost his rattles in the exchange.

Good shots. Too bad he got hit by cars.

I've lived in the Las Vegas Valley for over 20 years, go hiking out in the desert fairly frequently, hoping to find rattlers to photograph. They have a knack for avoiding me.
