DPP4_ possible image processing problem

Hello folks, I'm new to this forum, but certainly not new to dpp or image processing.

History: I've switched computers from the older dell I had to a newer version. On the older computer I ran the older version of dpp. On this new computer I'm running DPP4. I love dpp, it's simple and easy to use. I use a 2490 NEC Monitor, on the old computer my monitor calibration intensity was set at 130. On this new computer the screen was pretty bright so I lower the calibration intensity to 110. Ok, but still just a tiny tad bright. But I'm afraid to go lower.

So here's the question. When I process the raw files in DPP, get the exposure correct which usually doesn't take much, if any at all, and everything looks great, I process the image out, usually to jpeg. But when I open the image in Photoshop it appears quite a bit darker. I then have to readjust to get it back to what looks good. Usually the mid tones and highlights, but mostly high light. Is this normal? or is it something I'm missing. I did have to adjust slightly in the previous version of dpp after opening in Photoshop but not that much.

Thanks in advance for you help

What color-space are you saving the JPEG in DPP to?
