The photo is very nice and her outfit is great! Girls are so particular about there clothes at this age. I think the backdrop you chose suits the portrait perfectly. I hope she has fun learning the guitar!

Great shot Alex. Looks a bit big for her but I'm sure she will grow into it.

Thanks a lot for all your comments, guys!!

Now to make her practice more, we learn together. Its easier for me, though,
because I know the theory (pro musician in the past, but never played guitar)

It's a lot of fun for both of us. And brings more to father-daughter relationship.

Dante. The funny thing that I already have drums:) Not real ones, but semi-pro electric Yamaha. But they are waiting for my 18 mo. son to grow a little. He's already trying them out:)

Best regards
Alex

My son has been playing (squizzing in around his mullti-sport life) guitar and piano for 4+years. He turns ten in a few weeks and can actually play songs and tunes from memory and makes up his own little songs and it is SOOOO worth all the hassle and expense of the lessons.

Piano and guitar sinse 6 ! That's great. All my respects to you and your kid.
I've tried to teach my daughter piano when she was 6. My father is a musician, arranger and a teacher (piano, chello and saxophone) . But he is an "old school" and she got bored pretty soon. I hope she will stay with guitar.
You are right, if the kid is into it, there's no price too high.

The secret, IMHO, is to NOT be your kids teacher. Also the teacher I have been using since my older kid was 4 is very relaxed and keeps things fun. She doesnt make the kids practice songs they dont enjoy. they do excersises, but pick the songs they want to learn and they are NOT expected to memorize a song. She has them practice it until they are bored with that song or at least understand what the song is trying to teach them.

My daughter started out with violin with the same teacher, then discovered how easy the piano was and then was accepted into school band ealry cuz she understood music and could read music and learned clarinet there and has since taught herself flute and alto sax and she is just finishing the 6th grade....

I was MADE to take music as a kid the old style way and made it about 6 months.

Like I said, find someone who will work with your child and makes the class fun...if not they will bag out and then they will regret not having learned...remember this is for THIER good, not so they can be professional musicians..that part is up to them down the road if they choose that path... keep pushing them, but not forcing them, set the bar high and they will not dissapoint!

JMHO....LOL
