Might be photographing McLean cars around a race track tomorrow. Need to know of some good settings (AF in particular) for fast moving cars. Should I set the AF sensitivity to Slow, Middle or Fast?, What about left and right assist?

I shoot one position towards Slow from the middle, so if your focus point falls of the subject it won't change to fast. I also use the surrounding AF points.

Here are my settings Fn III Autofocus/Drive:

1/0
2/*
3/0
4/0
5/0
6/7
7/2
8/2
9/1
10/1
11/1
12/2
13/0
14/1
15/1
16/1
17/0

cheers...

Cheers... jim

Those are my settings as I shoot Motocross. I transferred many of these settings from my MKIII.

Here is a link that I find helpful: http://cpn.canon-europe.com …v/1D_Mark_IV_guide_en.pdf (external link)

as always cheers...

Hey I was wondering if these are the settings you still currently use for moto. I have a 1d mark iv and 70-200 2.8 and currently have some trouble with focusing. If you could PM me that would be awesome! Looking at your shots they’re great!
