I've got many of these to work through. A couple quick questions. What is the best way to mask the ridges that are going through his fingers and arm when sharpening. I find them distracting when I sharpen after downsizing for the web, but want to sharpen the rest of the image. Also, as you can see, the wall is leaning back as I needed to shoot at upwards angle. Any tips on the best way to correct that? Thanks, and enjoy.

Thanks. I think I like it in B&W even better... I think the skyline of the city in his glasses stands out better in B&W. There is a lot of cool art along this wall and in the tunnel, so, more to come.

You can use the perspective distortion tool on photoshop to fix some of the keystoning although that might necessitate some cropping. Don't edit the lines, they are part of the image.

Thanks, I'll play with that now. That was what I was thinking of doing, but the tool is different in the current version of PS than what I am used to, and I wasn't sure if there was a better way.

(Edit: Ah, yeah, this is actually a new tool that wasn't even in my old version of PS.)
(Edit2: Ok, yeah, this tool is going to do what I want, I just need to work with it and figure out how many degrees to angle in to fix it. What you see above was already cropped slightly, so I'm not going to lose any of the mural doing this by working on the original RAW again and copying my edits after the crop to the new edit. Thanks!)

I don't want to remove the lines completely, I just want to avoid sharpening them so much when I sharpen the rest of the image.

So yeah, the perspective crop is pretty sweet. I just whipped this up in about 30 seconds. I didn't take much care and slightly cropped his elbow. With a little more time and care I can get this exactly as I want it, but here's what I got from a quick edit. Thanks for the tip!

Yeah, but right now it's just a lot of trial and error for me to get the perspective crop right. I need to study up on the best way to use this tool. I'd like to be able to hit it on the first try every time.

The best bet is to stand on something higher so there is less keystoning to start.

For sure, I'd like to get as much correct in the camera as possible. That's not always feasible however. Sometimes you have to shoot a whole mural while standing only 4 feet from the wall too (tunnels). So while I strive to get it right in the camera, I also like to develop my post processing skills as much as possible. It's good to have as many tools in your toolbox as possible. To that end, I appreciate you turning me onto the Perspective Crop tool, I didn't have that in my previous version of PS and I've only had this version for about a month, so I'm still getting used to the new interface and all the new tools.
