How to achieve this effect with photoshop/lightroom

Can anyone offer editing advice on how to achieve the look in these photos:

The photos have a subtle matte look (but not necessarily like with the effect of lifting blacks on the tone curve, which creates more of a haze), but maintain vibrant colors and have almost a flat look to them (for lack of a better word). Any ideas?

I do it this way with Photoshop CS6, you can bump up the contrast and then use the offset to execute the effect you want. Hope this helps
