I have just bought my second Canon 6D and noticed that there is such a huge difference in the LCD of the two bodies. The new one has yellowish tint.

What could be the reason for that?

Thanks for your help in advance!

Maybe the WB or Picture Style settings are off.

I copied the same photo to both 6D's SD card so WB, Picture Stlye dont make an effect. It is all about the LCD's quality.

Just a quick question...are the LCD brightness settings the same on both bodies?

Did a quick Google search and came up with many comments regarding the 6D having a warmer yellowish LCD. Some appear to be warmer than others, so chances are you may get 2 with noticeable differences. It doesn't affect IQ, but I could see where it might be a bit bothersome. Try the Google search and I think you'll find more info on this.

Since there is no on camera colour management avilable, so it is not possible to profile the screen, on ANY camera this is just something you will have to put up with.

Apart from using the histogram for exposure information the only thing that you can really check for using the on camera LCD screen is focus, by zooming in, and general composition. Everything else will have to wait until you have downloaded the the pictures to a properly calibrated computer system.

It is not about color management, it is about difference and probably bug in one of the LCDs.

Has there been water damage to the 6D? I had water damage to my EOS-M and when it finally dried out and fired up again, the bottom left portion of the screen has a yellowing tint to it (compared to the rest of the LCD screen).

that can happen with anything with an lcd screen. variations in production, brand of lcd used etc. People have had this issues in smartphones as well for a long time the top one seems more bluish compared to the more warmer yellowish of the other one. its not a bug, its just when the screen is manufactured, if its within tolerances then they don't trash it.

It amazes me how the tiniest issue causes some folks to panic. There's nothing wrong with your camera. Go out and shoot some pictures with it and enjoy it.:-)

This. There are often different manufacturers that all make screens for the same product. So yes, they will slightly differ in color balance.
