Is it just me or is the very little to shout about with the G7X mkii? The specs are so similar, you have to read deep into the details to find any differences and what differences there are, doesn't really justify the new price. From what I can tell, there's a new Digic 7 processor, it runs at 14 bit rather than 12 and has slightly better ISO sensitivity. After that, it's a modified body and that's about it, unless anyone can say otherwise? It's quite a price hike in the UK for the new model.

These are the specs from B&H:

I love my G7X, but I have to admit that it is very poor at focusing in low light. If they've fixed that, then this is a significant upgrade.

Is the focus that bad in low light? I must admit, I always thought that Canon had focus nailed. How bad is it then? The new model over here is listed at £549, that's £179 (over $250) more than the original, is it worth it?

I'm looking at getting this as my 'in my pocket all the time' camera and I imagine most of the time, it will be used in reasonable light. Not to say I won't try out some night shots and so on but that's a lot of extra cash to shell out.
