Beekeeper Goldmember More info | Snowy winters are great for feeding them here on my farm. Horned larks love cracked corn and will find what I put out for them in the backyard by the afternoon after a good snow. A couple of weeks of snowy weather, and they can get rather tame/bold whatever you want to call it, and will come up to me when I go outside with my red can full of cracked corn. The rest of the year they are very skittish. There is an older couple about 45 minutes from me that feed them when it snows. A couple years ago they went through 1.5 tons of cracked corn feeding the Horned larks, Snow buntings, and Lapland longspurs. A couple years ago I had hundreds of Horned larks, Lapland longspurs, and Snow buntings coming in. Zach--C&C is welcome on my photos
