We just returned from a week in Fl.
The better half got to enjoy her new Oly 300/4.
She uses an OMD m5ii.
It gets no better than to wake up in a motel room, start driving to the intended shooting location
and ten min's into the drive look up and discover this gem among gems sitting high in a pine bathed
in goldenlight-

That's when you know you're in Florida. Abundant opportunities.

Very nice capture of this beauty. There was a GHO on my neighbors roof last evening, too dark to get a shot.

Bob thanks. The list is long. Florida was very good to us. First two days we had crap grey sky (it followed me down).
But then the last three days were wonderful.
I was mentally comparing the number of keepers/Flickrs I was getting per day to when we were in Costa Rica several
months ago. On a good day at Viera Wetlands I got 55-60 keepers. That's one day and right at three hours. But I've been
to Viera Wetlands in the past and drove away with nothing :)
Viera is however THE place I'd recommend to any 'birder' coming to Florida, especially if you are also a photographer.
So we've worked Viera the last two trips. Next time, this coming December, we're going back to s.Florida so please consider
guiding us again!
