Yes, Mel it was taken the day before I posted it. They were giving me quite the show and I really enjoyed the opportunity to shoot it. I will probably head back out to take advantage of this while they are still going at it. Stacy Shane

Tom, their was a dry creek ravine i was able to walk down to get close enough to shoot and get the captures. I was watching about 80+ bull Elk when I noticed these below me. I glassed from afar and chose to gamble and use my mono pod. Their was no wind so I was able to hold and get some great shots,The creek bed was perfect to stand in, and it left me just about 2 feet higher than the bank so it worked well and didn't seem to bother the birds at all. They turned out well or least I thought so. I was contacted from a magazine for this series and several more shots from earlier in the day. I truly love photographing these birds they can become almost memorizing. Stacy Shane
