I am looking to add a couple more lights to my current lighting kit. I currently own an Einstein and a B800. I was going to order a set of Einsteins, but before I do, I was wondering if there are any other monolights out there in the same price range that I should consider?

I have been out of the loop for the past couple of years and I am pretty sure that there are a few products that have come out, that I am not aware of.

I shoot mostly commercial and fashion portraits, in studio and on-location.

Do you have the Cyber Commander? If so if say stick with the Buff gear. A triple Einstein setup with a Bees kicker is a killer setup.

That being said if you want to overpower the sun outside you might look into something different that offers HSS.

I luv the PCB strobes (Zeus, WL, ABs and Einsteins) and love the Cyber syncs and Cyber Commander even more. But, on location they suck and even more so once you start using other alternatives to where you know better. Having to run cords or separate battery packs are an inconvenience and the screen on the Cyber Commander is all but impossible to see in the sunlight.

I have tried the Phottix system (Mitros+ and INdra 500's) but too many issues with this system as it is.

Started buying into the Godox "X" system last October and there are a few small issues but, the system overall is hands down the best I have ever used. The X1 transmitter is the best TTL transmitter IMO and the AD600B TTL/HSS 600ws battery powered strobes are rock solid and they have TTL performance identical to my Canon Speedlites. The AD600BM (manual only version) would be very comparable to the Einstein in price and performance. The Einstein does have a 2/3 stop more flash output in my testing but when you put the whole "X" system package together and what it has to offer it is simply one of the best, most complete systems available today. Wireless TTL, HSS and Rear Curtain sync, it does it all from shoe flashes to battery powered bare bulb and studio strobes.

I was going to save back my Einsteins and CC in case I ever got some space again for a studio but I do not see any sense in using multiple systems any more.
