Has anyone ever been to this ? I am going to it on sat 4/2/16 and was wondering what to expect? tripod needed?

I would have said - take the lightest cam you can with the widest zoom range you can get, that is not to much of a compramise on IQ, if you go from having a live trip in tank or heli youy wont want heavy gear, also on the field upto 300mm when used on a crop body will probably be all you need.

A tripod - i doubt you would need that infact i bet it would be in your way.
