Hi guys, I currently own the a6300 with Zeiss 24/1.8, 50/1.8 and 55/1.8. Have some questions:

1. How much better is the Batis 85/1.8 or 85/1.4 GM than the 55/1.8 on our measly APS-C body? I've seen full frame samples but not side by side comparisons using the a6300 body with these lenses.

2. For those that concurrently own the m4/3 system, will the nocticron 42.5mm/1.2 be as good as the Batis 85/1.8 or close? thinking which is the next best lens to buy and under which system.

I'd say outstanding trip via many outstanding photos. The Marlin leaping (I hope it's a Martin) is awesome.

It's possible I've used a similar one of this one before. I apologize.

I do believe the thread has gotten off topic w/ the other with the dragon fly though.

all great shots! but I really like this... was that just a accidental lucky shot, or was the ray jumping in pattern?

This group of Rays kept jumping so I have a bit of a series. However I am still learning the quirks of the 70-300 and the ligh was very harsh in that direction contrast was weak so I probably needed to switch from wide to something else but it was a lot of point and hope they jumpped in that spot

There was a HUGE ray probably 1 ton 10 feet across when he would jump it was just once and I never got him. You could hear his slap across the ocean

Poof wanted to use the digiscope today. Using the a6300 + Swarovski 95 ATX for an effective focal length of 2800mm. The Bluebird filled the frame while my combo using a Canon 1.4tc + 100-400ii filled 1/25th the frame. I guess digiscopes have there place :)
Here is Poof's shot-

Poof has seen the light, well detail possible via the Swarovsky 95 ATX, here a small crop from beyond 50x magnification; that means approaching 2900mm effective-

I might take the wife next and do less fishing and more photo... I love the baja and just don't capture it on these trips

Don't capture it? What? What you put up looks very well captured and very enticing too. I always dreamed of sea kayaking there and I'd be happy just to use my little dinky point-n-shoot. Just a mesmerizing place. I think I even had a dream about the airborne Manta, never knew about that, just thought they 'flew' through the ocean.
