Don't capture it? What? What you put up looks very well captured and very enticing too. I always dreamed of sea kayaking there and I'd be happy just to use my little dinky point-n-shoot. Just a mesmerizing place. I think I even had a dream about the airborne Manta, never knew about that, just thought they 'flew' through the ocean.

There is so much more to shoot in Baja. My friend I go with doesnt stop the car and from Cabo to La Paz I just want to shoot shoot shoot. Wildlife trees amazing things. On a typical day going through the Botanical Gardens here in phoenix I shoot 700-800 shots on this trip i totaled 2100 for 6 days. If I was on the water shooting not fishing the amount of wildlife jumping swimming just all around would fill up a few Gigs of card.

Where we stayed this time kayaks and snorkel gear is in the room rate. If you want to scuba they have their own tank supply there.

I have so much more to shoot in Baja.... towns people wildlife history wildlife macro wildlife.... did I mention wildlife????

I cant go next feb / march but that is when the whales are in the sea of cortez and you can swim with whale sharks.

I love the Baja

HOLY CRAP 2900mm!!!!!!

What adapter... how ... gah im confused

Yes Nekro's link to B&H shows you part of the story :)
Load this page:
http://www.digiscopeadapter.com/ (external link)
The banner image shows a camera attached to a spotting scope, it's a Zeiss, we use
Swarovsky but you get the ideal.
When you attach camera to a spotting scope it is digiscoping.
It's a pain, very difficult but there are some crazy advantages like focal length out the wazoo
and at least with our scope you can drop it into a river, swim down bring it up and all is good, you
can even leave it on the bottom of the river for a while and no problem....don't you wish cameras were
like that :)

There is a master of digiscoping named Tara Tanaka, her work is in the Smithsonian. last I remember she
was using a Lumix GH4, I've used the GH4 but the a6300 is better IMHO, regardless check out her work,
she is remarkable-

The other advantage, think what Canon would charge for even a 1600mm lens hehe ;)

Poof again with the digiscope. This time we knew where the hawk might land and she set up as close as possible.
Effective focal length 1400mm, small crop, no sharpening, no NR, basically SOOC; forgot to mention last light of the
day and if anything challenges the digiscop it is light because I think the Svarovsky is at F18 at best.

Probably not bad but remember you have to add an eyepiece which will double the price.
Kowa if I remember correctly is a good name; I think in their line you can spend way way way more.
Also you've already figured that technique demands a lot in digiscoping....but at that price it's always
good to have a spotting scope. One thing you have Eriet is light and that is a big help.

Lots of light and lots of open space. I could see this helping with Pronghorn which are spooked at any long lens (they think its a gun) and birds change behavior when they see you such as Buzzards and Owls.

going to pass until some things sell but I would love to try this technique in the desert. Thanks for enlightening me

Eriet maybe in your area somewhere but in Florida they have digiscoping get-togethers/conventions/whatever they are called and the reps from the big companies are there showing they wares, doing demos, letting photographers have a go; maybe try before you buy a big rig.
Poof likes the challenge of it and sometimes it makes the impossible possible. If you get it right the detail can be amazing, this with my a6000 + 35/1.8 + Swaro 95-

Seen this one flying around, then today dead by the front door. I have no idea what it is, granted it's in the bee family (it is bigger than it looks).

Yes it came back last week and we have shot in the heat with no problems. Sony never admitted it had a problem in fact on return invoice all that was noted was a dirty sensor.
She has it with her now and hopes to image a black bear with it.

Well.....

I can tell you to replace the back and top of the unit. ..... $387.33 .... ouch. I didnt even see the crack on the top the processor had to go back to the tech to ask them where it was

3 more working days if there is a delay Sony will send me a temp unit if I want as part of the pro care

I had good and bad experiences with Canon CPS so far this Sony care is more communicative...... will have to see it all work out for the rest.
