Did I say "term" or did I say "phrase"? A very common term in the dictionary you may want to look it up.
And, no, my Sigam S does not jitter. Sigma jitter or otherwise. Neither do any of my Canon ef lenses.

You said phrase, however you put jitter in quotes and then refered directly to that as phrase versus the earlier quote, so it wasn't clear to me. I apologize.

I did have an older Sigma lens that would "jump" a hummingbird clear out of the frame when the IS was energized. It was faulty and Sigma repaired it, however.

I have experienced the "jump" (not a jitter) when the IS engages on some cheaper, older Canon EF-S lenses. Most recently was on a 55-250 - the early version, not the newer STM (which does not do it).
