broad winged hawk

the "broad winged" hawk might be a juvie red shouldered. I see these out there pretty often- they are a bit smaller than RSH and have lighter colored eyes.

Beautiful shots Bob! I do think you've got a Red-shouldered hawk, but these two look so darn close it can be really tough to tell.

thanks Keeper- you're probably right- I looked over some previous shots of suspected broad wings and the eyes are even lighter in color than this guy. this one was darker brown than most young RSHs I see
