It seems that most times when I Delete unwanted photos from LR, those that I have black-flagged, after deleting them, LR returns a message stating "The File Could Not Be Found". Wondering what file LR is referring to.

I don't know why it would not delete it from the catalog after flagging and deleting, but somehow it is not removing it from the catalog whatever is going on. Philip

If you are deleting the file from the filesystem outside of LR, then going back to LR and using the black flag you will get this result, as the file is alreadt gone.

Because of the fact that LR stores all of the information about a file in it's internal database it is important that you do not make any changes to the location of the file outside of LR, including deleting or moving them to the recycle bin. LR's usual method for removing the duds is to mark them with the black flag. Once you have gone through all the images LR has a tool that will then remove all of the negativly flagged files. It also has the option to chose to remove the image from the database only, or to delete it from the disk too. Alan yeah, I'm deleting them through LR, selecting "Delete from Disk". Then see if the problem is still occurring. I don't have a clue what is going on unless it is something strange like you are somehow deleting it while in one catalog and seeing it from another.
