Beautiful kid, excellent portrait :) Congrats!

There are a couple technical issues with the shot. The shutter speed is very low. You can increase the shutter speed and ISO to maintain the exposure. You have an excellent lens, and are making use of it with a very narrow depth of field. I think it's a bit too narrow, the only thing in focus is the toque (beanie). Close the aperture just a bit (compensate with your ISO) and focus on the eyes.

Overall I like it, you caught his expression and there is definitely a dreamy effect.
