I was typing an email, and it stopped and said Windows was shutting down.
Then it said Windows 10 was installing ... Do not turn off your computer.
Now that was very scary as Sony have declared they are not providing Windows 10 drivers or support for this Laptop. And advise not to upgrade from Windows 7 SP 1.
Very scary 15 minutes - but fortunately all seems well. except I do have an exclamation mark on an unknown driver that is called a "root printer" but the HP Laserject is there, working properly and printing perfectly.
I went over to the Vaio site and double checked - still not supporting Windows 10, but a link to supported Laptops shows mine as unsupported but fortunately it passed all the tests!
The Laptops below mine all had quite a few failures here and there - so very lucky.
Just a warning to anyone who doesn't want to or shouldn't upgrade - I Certainly didn't Invoke this install.
If I want to do a clean install in the future, can I use my Retail copy of Wi dows 10 just bought on a USB stick for the new Workstation to physically load the OS, and just skip the Product key input as Allegedly its mysteriously locked my right to upgrade to the mother board?? Is that true?
