@ PhotosGuy: I have seen these used in aerial fire fighting so I’m guessing the tube is for sucking up water from lakes, etc.?

2 hoses. I think one for dipping into lakes for water, the other I'm not sure.

Yep we see them pretty often, one tube for intake and one for dumping it I think...never usually close enough to see them drop it! ;-)a

This Jayhawk was stationed at the warn station in Clearwater Florida when this photo was taken in 2006. It is now in much colder Kodiak, Alaska. The St Petersburg Pier behind it has been demolished and replaced with a new structure. The Mayor of St Pete is talking about replacing the Albert Whitted airport with a new baseball stadium for the Rays. Let's hope that doesn't happen.
