im looking for a mini tripod to use so i can do macro shots. i have a canon 60d with a canon 100mm macro. and every mini tripod i try tips over from the weight. what do you guys use?

Mar 20, 2016 16:14 | #5 Fairly similar to Jon - I use the Gitzo 3320BS. Out of print now but a great little tripod if you can find one. It supports anything, well up to about 100 kilos or so, extremely rigid and quite compact. It is total overkill for normal uses but that's just what you want for Macro! Life is for living, cameras are to capture it (one day I will learn how!).

My biggest concern would be the pan-tilt head. I rather suspect it won't hold well, since it's probably high-density poly. I don't see any reference to it being removable, which would let you upgrade to a solider (probably ball-type) head. This Jon
