I just tried the X1-S on my Sony A7

With V860 for Canon & X1 receiver :
-M mode works ok
-TTL mode works but adding and substracting flash exp compensation has no effects
-HSS works ok and automatically above sync speed up to 1/8000, no banding

With V860 for Canon and XTR16s :
-M mode works ok
-HSS works ok like above (you have to turn on HSS mode on the flash)

With AD360 II for Canon :
-M mode works ok
-TTL mode works but adding and substracting flash exp compensation has no effects
-HSS works ok and automatically above sync speed up to 1/8000, no banding

With TT685 for Sony
-M mode and TTL mode works ok including flash exposure compensation

Since I dont need TTL mode, I end up buying X1s for my A7, XTR16 for my old AD360 and XTR16s for my V860 Canon :)
My AD360 II needs no additional receiver.

The FEC not working is a significant incompatibility. Did you try the camera FEC to see if its passed along.
Sony with Sony the camera FEC is additive.

CL-200x is the works and coming. Whoop Whoop

Is it produced by Godox? I saw a Bresser/Menik SJD-200 which is 200Ws and has an internal battery and is bare bulb flash.

http://www.lightingrumours.com/menik-sjd200-8060 (external link)

It has no pre-sync but supports blinking light (HSS) and uses their own triggering system. The WT4i also supports pre-sync so you can reach 1/8000s as shutter time.

Unfortunately I forgot to try flash EC on the camera.
Maybe the FEC signal from A7 and X1-S is not recognized by X1C receiver, or X1C receiver does not send it to V860C ?

As I said previously, FEC works on Godox TT flash for Sony

X1C receiver? The V860c is first generation TTL when an XRT-16s is plugged into the speedlite, it becomes a manual speedlite in the X system.
The XTR-16s has no TTL communications capabilities.

The X1C receiver you are talking about is the receiver with a hotshoe for speedlites, based on my reading of the documentation it only speaks Canon E-TTL II. Based on that its reasonable to expect that it won't be able to communicate Sony TTL commands from the X1Ts to a Canon speedlite.

Its important to remember that cross platform interworking for TTL communications is going to be dicey.
In my view, Godox has done a great service to us by making it possible to fire a single second generation light from multiple camera TTL protocols with the light being able to automatically interpret the signaling on a shot by shot basis.

Expecting Godox to be able to translate Sony to Canon may be too much for which to hope. :-)

That's nice if one is using an imitation iPhone. What about the rest of us? :-P

I know xtr16 has no ttl feature and I dont expect that. I dont need ttl anyway.

And I know too that X1C might not compatible with X1-Sony transmitter. But fortunately the M mode works and thats what I need for now :)

I wish I could tell you , but at this time I can't release that information. You can kinda guess what it is from the title.

The latest version of the Trigger interworking diagram in another thread has a silhouette of a 200x. Its about the size of a speedlite with a bare bulb sticking out of the head.
My guess is a v860II with bare bulb replacing the normal speedlite tube and enough capacitor power for 200Ws.

That's sounds reasonable. Hopefully it'll take the same li-ion batteries as the 860 series...

Cool!

I wonder what hardware will bridge the phone-to-2.4Ghz Godox-protocol divide... Unless the X1T or XT32 suddenly is discovered to have a bluetooth chip ....

The recent discussions of the crowded 2.4Ghz range made me want to be ready to change channels on my "legacy" AD360s in a hurry if I ever need to.

To make that easier I made a JPG of the channel-to-dip switch chart from the XTR-16 manual. I've printed a few out and sprinkled them in various bags and carrying cases. It's here if it might save anyone else the trouble...

HAHA
you might want to take my signature out of the image before claiming you made it from the XTr-16 manual. I posted that image in 2 places and even after you can find my sig in the image you might also want to change the exact matching crop.

Sorry Scott - I selected your JPG in error out of the many JPGs and PDFs in folder I have of Godox manuals. I meant to use the version from the XTR-16 manual: https://www.dropbox.com …0settings%20crop.jpg?dl=0 (external link)

I was just trying to save some folks the 45 seconds it took to crop the section out of the page and save as a JPG. I'll try to be more careful in the future.

Owen.

p.s. for the record, I do not claim any creative title to the JPG linked to above. Anyone may use it or distribute it in any way they see fit. You can even "claim" you "made" it yourself - I'm not keeping track.
