I sold most of my yongnuo flashes and went with the x1 system. I love it!

Looks like I should be returning my yongnuo triggers (still within return window) and order godox x1 with T685 flash. I will prbably order godox first to make sure it works for me - I especially appreciate Yn-622 HSS with flashpoint 320m w/o much loss of power - hope this remains with X1 triggers. From the pictures, user interface of Godox appers to be a step up from yongnuo.

once you go Godox, you won't look back (well maybe to question how you managed before)

Are there any difference between 850II and 860II (TTL) for off camera use? Both Li-Ion. I am thinking of picking up Flashpoint 850ii (manual) with X1 bundle

Other than not being ETTL, they should behave the same via built in 2.4ghz.

Some good info here;

I have the adorama version of the x1 system with triggers and 4 ttl flash units. Is there a way to set the zoom separately for each group when using group mode? At weddings, I run with a flash on camera and a couple on stands around the room. I would like the zoom to be different for the ones on the stands. Is this possible?

Since X1TC has a hot shoe on top, does it mean when 850II is mounted on top of X1T, it behaves like a TTL flash?

No, nor does it or any manual flash when it is being triggered by an X1 via wireless. Adding an ETTL controller in the pathway can not make a manual flash ETTL. It can however make some flashes do high speed sync.

For a speedlite to be able to support high speed sync, they have to be able to do the fast pulsing and respond to the FP sync signal.
While the X1 trigger system will deliver the FP sync signal it can't make them do the HSS pulsing. That either has to be switched on at the speedlite via a button press, or via the firmware. The firmware usually means its ETTL capable.

Yes, I understand this, but thank you for making that clear to readers. My saying "some flashes" was not clear at all.

Perfect. I'll have to fiddle around to see if I can get it set up. Thank you.

Did you just set the zoom setting manually?

Yeah there's no way to set it via the controller. I didn't test it while on camera, so it may reset?

I'll go grab the camera now :)

EDIT: Zoom held.

yn-622tx allows setting the zoom on the controller for each group, is it still possible with X1?
