My X1s (x1 for Sony) can not trigger Godox GT400 using XTR16.
GT400 can only be triggered with FT16 and old FT16 receiver.

Any way out to solve this other than putting FT16 on top of X1s?
Thanks

That doesn't make sense to me.
The FT16 and XTR16 should look the same to the light via the USB port.

I'd double check the USB connection. Also, does the little red light indicate the the XTR16 is getting a signal from the XT-1s?

Yes, the XTR16 is getting the signal from the X1s ...(red light indicator when triggered),
The XTR16 works OK with the old AD360.

Do you mean the power level setting or group number setting?

Hey there guys,

Is there a list somewhere I can look at of compatible flashes to the Godox X1. What I mean by compatible is a flash that I don't need to attach a receiver, will any 2.4ghz flash be compatible with the X1?

Thank you.

I've already bought X1s for my A7, but still adamant to buy the X1c due to my pre-2012 camera.
I am using YNe3RT to have Gr mode (5 groups) and waiting till my 5Dii is broken and buy the mk iii. :)
Well, the battery door of my yne3rt was broken few days ago, and finally I bought the X1c.

To be able to have a Gr mode on pre-2012 Canon camera, as told in previous posts, the ttl pin should be blocked.
And yes it works.
By the way I only need to block the left top pin to make it works. Any comments on this? I end up blocking all 4 pins anyway :)

Strange thing happened if I use the X1c on 5Dii without blocking the ttl pins .. I got blue tint picture.:)
It happened only with flash white balance. Its normal if using other WB like tungsten, daylight, etc.

If you only block the one pin, can you still do high speed sync? Might be worth checking.

As said previously, I use X1c on my 5Dii.
I cover the ttl pin so that X1 can be set to Gr mode. It works ok with V860ii.
BUT X1 can not turn off the V860 version one with XTR16s. It can change the power setting, but if I set the group to off (–), the flash still firing. What is the problem?
Thanks.

AD360 v1 with XTR16 works ok. Flash is off when I set the group in X1 to off

AD360 ii, V860ii and TT685 works Ok too on turning off group setting.

Updated to Canon's New Firmware update V15:
It will not allow you to turn off the XTR16S receivers.

I have stopped using the XTR16S till they fix this problem and switched to using the X1R on the V860. I get full TTL/Manual/HSS.

I found the answer. So it's firmware problem on X1c. Hope they fix it soon.

I have a V685c with firmware 3.0. It will not work with correct ttl exposure with a Canon 1dx mark2.
It will work with 1dx1 and 5d3, but not the 1dx mark 2. It overexposes the image by at least 3 stops and exposure compensation will not make any difference. The image appears the same at -3ev as it does at +2ev. It also causes the same problem on the slave lights (360II and 600) when the v685c is used as a master. The light works fine in slave mode when using the x1tc to control it.

Is there any firmware update it the pipe to fix this problem. I used to have the same problem with the x1tc transmitter, but an firmware update solved it.

Does the 860II work any better, I would assume it would have the same problem.

There has just not been any update in a while.
