Please help me to know why my V860CII menu doesn't have the M listing on the list like the photo below but only group A, B, C...
Firmware Ver 1.3

That's an image of either the Nikon or Sony version in Master Radio Wireless. Canon specific Godox X system flashes do not have the M Group (at least not yet) as the Master flash is always put in Group A.

Really Godox??? Thank you Agv8or! I've been banging my head on the wall the last few days.

Godox was just providing continuity with the brand specific Wireless platforms. There is no Canon flash that has an M Group when in Wireless Master. But, take heart in that with your 5DmIII and 6D you can use a Godox X system flash in Wireless Master <Gr> mode and use all 5 Groups (A-E) in TTL and/or Manual where as the Sony and Nikon versions may have an M Group for the Master flash they are limited to controlling only 3 Groups of Slaves (A-C) otherwise.

So the long and short of it is that Godox allows Canon users to have 5 Groups with an "on camera" Master flash where as they limit Nikon and Sony users to only 4 Groups and one of those has to be the Master? Turn the Master Group off on the Sony or Nikon Master flash and you're now down to only 3 Groups. Where as, the Canon Master flash can be turned off from firing independently but it does not effect any other Slaves in Group A there by still leaving you with 5 Groups. So quit banging your head on the wall. :-)

I was wondering if anyone has come across this problem. I have a Flashpoint R2 (X1R-C) receiver that works perfectly with my Canon EX600 RT speedlites properly. The same receiver also works well with my Canon EX580 II speedlites. For some unknown reason the R2 receiver with not fire my Yongnuo 600 RT speedlites wirelessly. The test button on the receiver will fire the flash. My X1T-C transmitter or my XT32C transmitter just will not fire the the Yongnuo's. The pins seem to be lined up correctly
Has anyone come across any solution why Canon brand speedlites work but not the clone Yongnuo flashes?

Incompatibility between Yongnuo and Godox has been an issue since the introduction of the X System. It has to do with the way the two third party companies are reverse engineering Canon protocols. Just because both Godox and Yongnuo claim Canon compatibility does mean that they will be compatible with each other.

I talked about extensively in this thread: https://photography-on-the.net …read.php?t=1444958&page=1

Solution is to get rid of the Yongnuo and buy Godox.

Hi, I’ve just bought the AD360(original, not v2), a X1 and XTR-16. Everything works fine up till 1/250. Hss is always out of sync. I have hss enabled on the flash and my 70D also shows the hss icon.

I’ve researched a lot before I bought and this setup should work with hss, saw a working example on YouTube(with a A7RII though). This makes me think I’m missing a setting on my 70D. Firmware is up to date on both the 70D and the X1. Anyone who van help?

This may be a silly question, but one I haven't been able to find the answer to yet.

I currently have an R2 transmitter and R2 receiver for Canon, along with the Xplor600. I just bought an Olympus OM-D which is supposed to have an R2 transmitter released soon (they already have an Olympus compatible R2 speedlite available for preorder).

Is there a way to use the Canon receiver to fire a Canon flash from the Olympus transmitter? Obviously it would have to be in manual mode and no TTL info would be communicated.

The more I think about it, it probably won't work, but it would be nice to be able to integrate my Canon speedlites as bg lights or something instead of buying more gear. Just curious bc I haven't seen much, if anything, on the cross-brand compatability of the system. If not, no big deal. The R2 Oly speedlites are only $85 anyways!

Have you tried using the Canon R2 transmitter in your Olympus hot shoe? Before the XT32 became available, I used a Nikon X1, in Manual mode, with my Canon 5DmII to trigger and send Manual flash settings to Canon 600EX-RT's in Canon X1R receivers with no issues. To keep the transmitter from going to sleep you'll need to set Cfn 01 to "on" to bypass the auto sleep feature.

I don't have an Olympus camera so I do not know if any of the Canon and Olympus TTL pins line up but just put a piece of scotch tape across the TTL pins of the R2 transmitter and poke a hole so that only the center pin protrudes thru. The Nikon and Canon pins do not line up so I have not had any issues there with my setup.

I have experienced in early testing, some communication issues between the Canon X1 transmitter and the Canon X1 receivers, when simulating single pin triggering but, that was with older firmware versions. My Nikon X1 never had any issues and so far the testing I have done with a Canon R2 transmitter (with current firmware) has not had any issues either.

One more thing, you may have to initialize your transmitter settings to your receivers by pressing the "Test" button to start but from then on as you make power changes they should automatically be sent to your flashes.

The pin placement is exactly the same on the Oly vs Canon, but have different assignments from what I understand. In fact OCF cords for Canon are able to be used on the newer Oly's like the OM-D's with an Oly speedlite for full TTL operation.

I haven't tried anything as of yet, as I've just had the Oly for about a week. Maybe I'll give it a shot.

Thanks!

Godox X1 with AD200

Does the TTL setting (eg +1 / -1 etc) not show up on the AD200 screen too for anyone when being adjusted with the X1? The exposure seems to change accordingly but nothing shows on the screen

There are 3 FEC's in a Canon Wireless TTL system and Godox's uses all 3, albeit a bit differently in different situations than Canon's Wireless systems. The 3 FEC's are Global FEC, Group FEC and Individual Slave FEC. Neither the Global or the Group FEC's, sent by the transmitter, show up on the Slave flash display. Only the Individual Slave FEC is shown on the Slave flash display and is set in each Slave flash independently.

hmm so is this a problem for me then?

I notice that on all my other godox products the FEC shows up
