I don't have any babies to shoot but, often look under the eBay props for additions to my dog portraiture.

eBay has a plethora of props, at quite decent prices, which would be good for photographing babies.

I have nothing to do with the vendors just that many of their wares are interesting.

I consider many of these props somewhat cheesy but, many mothers absolutely drool over these images. If I shot babies for a living (or hobby) I would invest in several of these props:-)

However, I do use the "rose blankets" for puppy photos and I think they work quite well...

I think that these textured materials look great both in focus and OOF. They would be great for babies as well as puppies...

You do need to be cognizant regarding the sizes of these blankets. Some are quite small and none are over large...

You are correct there's money in photographing little kids babies etc... there was another site that sells props but can't think of the name.
