Reviewing images on GX7

Hey everyone, quick question regarding reviewing and zooming in on photos on the GX7. When I zoom in to make sure I got focus and everything, the images get all blocky and pixelated after about 4X zoom in. Any idea why this is? Do they all do it? I have tried a few settings changes but no luck.
