It's always fun watching an eagle cruising along, and then spying his next meal in the water below him. They usually make a hard turn as they apply the air brakes, and then come in to make their grab. This young guy had it down pat.

The gulls were busy too with smaller fish; I think the smelt are still in the bay, which no doubt are attracting the larger ones. The eagles were watching this activity verrrrry closely. There were also a lot of seals enjoying the fun.

Thanks a lot Red. No, it was a bright day as you can see from the bright blue sky, but when he transitioned down lower on approach and I had the riverbank as the background, it did get darker. I use all manual settings except Auto ISO and it does a good job of adjusting.
