When there isn't a single little bird at the feeders on a snowy spring day, there's usually a good reason to be found if you look around in the taller trees close by.....Sharp Shinned Hawk.

It is amazing how they can sense the danger well be before we can even see them! They obviously have a very quick mode of communication even between species. Great series!

awesome accipiter Ian- wish we had more of them down here. we have one that raids our feeders from time to time but he's too fast for me

Great shooting, Ian. Every so often I notice absolutely no activity at my feeders and look around for a cause to no avail -so far.:rolleyes:
