No little birds at the feeders

When there isn't a single little bird at the feeders on a snowy spring day, there's usually a good reason to be found if you look around in the taller trees close by.....Sharp Shinned Hawk.

Nice shots Ian. Little birds will definitely make them selfs scarce when these guys are around.

Thanks Dan. There were tons of little birds around, but they were frozen to the tree branches close to the trunks.

It is amazing how they can sense the danger well be before we can even see them! They obviously have a very quick mode of communication even between species. Great series!

Great shooting, Ian. Every so often I notice absolutely no activity at my feeders and look around for a cause to no avail -so far.

Very nice set. #3 is my favorite, it has a very foreboding pose.
