I picked up my A7R2 about 3 months ago and sometimes I experience lag when flipping thru the menus or when turning it on. I played around with my friend's A7S2 and it didn't seem to do it. Maybe I just picked up a bad one? or this is an issue I don't know about?

Please let me know! Thank you!

Perhaps you might have gotten a bad copy? I don't have any lag when I start it up/flip through the menus.

I guess it really depends on what you define as "lag", i mean there is a tiny half second delay from pressing the menu button then it showing up, but doesn't FEEL slow to me.

Check which firmware you're on and make sure you're on the latest one, but the a7rII can feel a tad bit "sluggish" with responsiveness. I felt it when reviewing images, checking 100% zoom on image review, etc. You're moving s ton of data around so flushing the buffer can take a while.

XQD card slot would be nice on the A7R3/A9.

I was on V 2.00 and now on V 3.10 Gonna try it out tomorrow to see if the firmware update has fixed the issue!

Latest firmware sped up startup time dramatically. I've never noticed lag on menus though. Reviewing images directly after you take them is laggy though but ok if you don't chimp every shot
