Using google rewards I have almost $30 in play store credit. I am kind of out of ideas on what to spend it on. Do you guys know of any useful paid photography related apps? Or any paid apps in general?

DSLRController or qDslrDashboard for remotely controlling your camera (both are good, and more reliable than their version numbers would make them seem). They'll work (via an OTG cable) over USB to the camera; if your camera has WiFi, or with a TP-Link MR3040 wireless router flashed with the appropriate firmware they'll also let you work wirelessly. If you want to go the TP-Link wireless route, act quickly; the company has announced they're discontinuing selling re-flashable versions of their hardware in the US due to a recent FCC decision.

TPE (The Photographer's Ephemeris) will tell you when/where sun/moon rise/set are for any chosen spot, and where the sun will be at any given time for said chosen spot.

Thought I would give this a bump.

Are there any other good photography apps out there that you use in your day to day shooting.

I use "DOF Calculator Pro" for Android, mostly for: focus distance, aperture and DOF (duh!) when shooting UWA. It works with any units you choose; FF & APSC & APSH; has 3 storage slots for other cameras/setups.

Works with aperture, focal length, focus/subject distance, near-focus DOF, far-focus DOF, total DOF, and HFD. It also works both ways. You can set camera parameters and see DOF/Distance. Or you can set DOF/Distance and get aperture.

I use TPE (The Photographers Ephemeris) mainly as a quick way to tell when the sun will be rising/setting and when the moon will be rising/setting. I use PlanIt! Pro also. Lots of useful info there for planning shoots. I use DSLRController for tethered shooting and star trails. I use Exposure Calculator when working with ND filters. I use Google Maps/Earth to scope out shooting locations. I use DOFCalculator, mainly when I want to lock a lens at hyperfocal distance. I have PhotoPills, but found that it offered less than PlanIt so I stuck with PlanIt.
