My daughter is looking to get into a dslr but she has very small hands. (she is 4' 10")
Anyone have a recommendation? She wants to keep it under $500 with a kit lens.

Thanks
Tom Church

Heya,

I'm fairly certain you're familiar with the SL1. About as small as it gets for a dSLR.

Otherwise, explore mirrorless. And for that, I'd look at Fuji.

Very best,

Thank for the comments. I am taking her to a camera shop this weekend.
We will look at the SL1.

Go to http://shop.usa.canon.com …-stm-lens-kit-refurbished (external link) for the refurbished deal. Refurbished gets you a very near new camera with the same warranty and accessories as the new packaging. My refurb 60D for instance came with 40+ shutter actuations. Most people have had very good experiences with Canon refurbs, not being able to tell them from new except they come in a plain white box.

SL1 is small. Smaller even than I expected. This is my 8yo holding it in Target.

SL1 is your best bet ߘor a T5 for price. What did you end up getting?
