Apparently it is rare to see a Snowy Owl around where I live, in Kansas. However there have been a couple spotted in the area. Well my wife told me that people have been parked in a KDOT mixing strip by the airport off of US-75 hwy. They've been looking for and photographing a "rare owl". We were on our way home when we noticed a pickup and car parked there. So we stopped to see if that's what they were doing. I asked if they had seen the owl, his reply, "Sure right there", pointing to this guy perched on a utility pole.
"I'm so cute, aren't I".
"I love my pole. It's such a nice pole."
