Cool, Joayne! Had you used SFX before, or was this your first time with it? I do love that software. I may be fascinated with volcanoes, but the name's Lisa.

lavanut Goldmember More info | I remembered you'd said you'd downloaded it. That's why I asked. The noise is the only negative I have as an ongoing nitpick with SFX. I confess I'll run some through Noiseware after I pull them back into Photoshop if the noise is bothersome. I may be fascinated with volcanoes, but the name's Lisa.

lavanut Goldmember More info | I agree 100%! I use presets as a starting point, but I almost always tweak them. I love using the control points in that software. That may be what I like most about it. I may be fascinated with volcanoes, but the name's Lisa.

OhLook insufferably pedantic. I can live with that. 24,807 posts Gallery: 105 photos Best ofs: 2 Likes: 16148 Joined Dec 2012 Location: California: SF Bay Area More info | Apr 04, 2016 22:25 | #54 I didn't try for this week's theme until today. Time pressure from a list of must-do's, and I didn't expect much success just desaturating something and making the few adjustments that my primitive PPware allows. But this scene was almost monochromatic to begin with. The cylinder is a dilapidated counterweight on a fire escape. Everything was painted white and in bright sun.
