Thanks for the 600mm shots. I'm looking into the Tamron 150-600 G2 as well. Pricey, but it's down to that or sigma's 100-400. For a couple hundred more I might as well go for the extra reach. 600mm and a boat race would yield some amazing shots! Course 400 wouldn't be bad either...

Anyway, I still have time to decide as I don't currently have the funds for any kind of new glass. BTW, that 70-200 you picked up I bought that lens last year. Great lens! Stupid sharp on my 80D and I never MAFd it! As it happens 200mm is about perfect for NHRA events, if not a little long at times. Of which I'll be attending and posting subsequent photos in just about 2 weeks!!!!!

Been gone from the forum for a long time, decided it's probably time to come back and see what's going on. Bought an 80D a couple of weeks ago, so far I like it. Upgrading from a 50D that has a good 250,000 shots through it. Still goes strong but it was time for new gear. Here's a few shots from the camera...

Those macros are fantastic! I had the 100mm L macro for a while, was a spectacular lens for everything. Few more from my 80D...
