See if you can go -2/3rds of a stop to increase your shutter speed from 1/100th to something closer to 1/250th or faster, then push process. I've had luck doing this in lower light situations with the 70d. It's a compromise but I've noticed

Typically you can get away with -2/3rds to a full stop under in treed scenarios on cloudy days pointing below the horizon, especially if the bird has a lot of white areas. Only problem with push processing is if your not careful you introduce a lot of color noise I want to die peacefully, in my sleep, like my grandfather.

Terrycanon Cream of the Crop More info | Mar 24, 2018 14:14 | #2262 Tried out the 1.4 extender today with the 100-400 L II lens. It's great but so heavy! Conditions were not good so I tried something different in post-processing. Converted to BW, as there was very little colour in the image anyway, and then did some white vignetting. Looks rather old fashioned, I feel. I'm always up for trying something different. Image hosted by forum (905936) © Terrycanon [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW.
