Thanks! No, I used auto focus for these.
I do use manual focus when I shoot smaller damselflies and try to focus on the eye. The eyes are pretty small and most of the times AF focuses a little behind the eye (I guess the AF points are too large?). In these cases I focus with AF, then turn the focus ring a tiny bit back. Then I shoot a small burst while slowly turning the focus ring. I'd "properly" manually focus, but damselfly eyes are just so small in the viewfinder that I can't see whether they're perfectly in focus or not...
