I must admit, I like your first shot the best. You did a really beautiful job on that one.

Thank you! Thinking about printing that one on a blanket for a pregnant friend with a sunflower themed nursery ;)

Yeah: I started saying "eight zero d" while also pointing at it... I try to avoid camera/lens/settings talk as much as possible with people.... it just always ends up turning into way too long of a conversation

Ah! Great idea! I don't know why I never thought to say it that way. I'll have to try to do it from now on. I avoid conversations, too, because I'm new. I do enjoy reading other people's conversations, though. It gives me time to absorb the information without my anxiety kicking in.

I picked up an 80D a few weeks ago when Canon Refurbished had it on sale for $799. It's a great camera at that price.

Yup! That's about the same price I paid for mine a year and a half ago. Gotta love Canon Refurb! Their sales are amazing. I've gotten a few lenses for great prices there, too.

Here is one of those ground-level spider webs covered with mist:

Here are a couple of close-ups. I'm not sure if they are interesting, or if they're just kind of a mess. -?

Sunset over Jemez mountains near Santa Fe, New Mexico. I shot this with my 80D and Sigma 18-300 lens. Postprocessing was done with DxOLab, with its "clearview" option which tries to remove haze from distance shots.
