Thanks! It's actually not very difficult. These damselflies are pretty patient models and will not fly away or move if you apporach carefully. And the 80D's autofocus is quite capable.

That was my point, you are good at it so it's easy for you. ߘ0ߘ0ߘ

The rest of us, not so easy0ߘ

Cheers,
JOE

Nice stuff everyone. Been a while for me. I have a question maybe some of you could help with. Next month the wife and I are going to Canada to visit her sister and other family. I’m bringing my 80d and I’m all over as to what I should bring. 17-55 with my 70-200 f4 is, my 18-135 stm to keep it simple, 35f2is and the 70-200 or just the 35mm. We will mostly be at a lake house and on the boat. I’m also prob going to be bringing my drone for some aerials. So many choices. Sorry for the headache. I have just never been to Canada and less is better going through customs.

One photo from my last album, but not happy with my 80d now already after 1 year and 11000 clicks problems from sometimes to several times when you press the button, the device does not respond.

Not sure what you like to shoot, But I would bring the 17-55, that is one great lens and the 70-200 also a great lens. I do like landscapes , or to isolate the subject hence my two picks.

Cheers,
JOE

I was out playing with the wife's 80D today & was a bit surprised with it's performance at moderately elevated ISO.

While this house sparrow image isn't great fundamentally, it was a very pleasant surprise "noise-wise".

It did pretty well on the hummer too. I think I like this body - It just needs about 5 more FPS. Lol!
