I had a T3i/600D before (which has the same sensor as the 60D, I think) and the 80D has less and much better noise. While I used ISO 3200 only if I had to, I use it routinely on the 80D because the images look much cleaner. C&C always welcome

Photos often look a bit pale/washed out to me with the default 'Adobe Standard' camera calibration profile. Colors look much better most of the time when I set it to 'Camera Faithful' or 'Camera Neutral'. Noise is subjective. While iso 3200 looks fine to some, others can only see the noise. I have mine set to 1600 max iso. For auto iso. Even that is sketchy. I prefer to manually set it at 100. And gradually raise it only if need be for proper shutter and/or aperture. I want to die peacefully, in my sleep, like my grandfather.

I didn't see that you just replied within the quote. but yea, I like the nostalgia of B&W I didn't notice until after I posted that I hadn't scrolled all the way to the bottom. Think I've done that a couple of times now when there are multiple images. Not going past all the image tags. Oh well. I'm old. What can I say. >>> Pictures? What pictures? <<<<
