Clean raw files from ISO 100-400, very close to 6D rendering. Lifted shadows is actually better on 80D. Body plays nice with L lenses. The 85LII operates much smother on 80D. I dont know why. On my 6D the AF makes a small but noticable "jump" before locking on target. Nothing wrong says Canon technicians. Always accurate but with that jump. On 80D AF is smooth all the way. Shutter motion is very well controlled compared to the 6D. 6D is almost like an old Hasselblad 500 series in comparison. If you are a TS-E shooter be aware that flash housing is going to restrict motion. My 6D will be my tilt-shift body.

Terrycanon Cream of the Crop More info | Feb 18, 2017 12:35 | #621 Just tried out my new 1.4 III extender with the 100-400L. A very dull day and it's a heavy combination, but I can't wait to try it out in good light. Image hosted by forum (840753) © Terrycanon [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. I just didn't like the look of the photos; it was as if there was a smear over the details, sort of a haze. The 100-400 looks better with my 5D4. Conversely, the 80D + my 400 DO II makes some outstandingly detailed, crisp photos. The lens looks good with the 5D4, but I much prefer the 80D results.

It makes me wonder if your copy is just a hair softer than average and it only shows up on the much denser 80D sensor. https://www.flickr.com/photos/127590681@N03/
