MatthewK Cream of the Crop More info | May 09, 2017 14:08 | #952 In case anyone was wondering how the 80D performs in crap light at ISO 12,800. If I am expecting low light (in forest, usually), I shoot with the 5D4, but the 80D is no slouch. A few years ago, this kind of IQ at such a high ISO level was unheard of; not to mention, 12,800 was an expansion level on a lot of bodies! I was surprised to see this interloper Osprey in our area, as we are nowhere near a major body of water. Image hosted by forum (854753) © MatthewK [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Terrycanon Cream of the Crop More info Post edited over 6 years ago by Terrycanon. (2 edits in all) | Wow, ISO 12,800. I thought I was pushing it when I shot at ISO 1250 for the heron shot above, but I could clearly go considerably higher. You really need a high shutter speed with the 100-400 II L, so upping the ISO is the answer. The good news is that the 80D doesn't seem to mind one bit! It's all about the light...

Quite a bit of crop but held up nicely! Image hosted by forum (855007) © bgoodin [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Please log in to see the good quality stuff.
