I use Lightroom, too but I'm allergic to subscriptions ;-)a - that's why I use Lightroom 6, not CC. Affinity photo is a cheap alternative for Photoshop and doesn't require a monthly fee either.

After much hemming and hawing, I just ordered an 80D refurb with the new 18-135mm IS USM Nano lens, $1128 after tax with the "PAYPAL10" code from Canon direct.

I sold my 7D II and 6D a few months back to get a 5D IV, but quickly realized I missed having a crop body at times. As much as I liked the 7D II, just couldn't justify the price of another one, even used or as a refurb, so have been looking hard at the 80D.

I also get a little paranoid at times carrying around the 5D IV and expensive lenses, having to leave it in the car at times, etc. I've been waiting for a bargain on something more suitable as an "every day camera" and this combo seems like it will fit the bill.

Now the worst part, waiting for the UPS man!

I use Canon's DPP for converting RAW and postprocessing. Works very good and it's free.

Looks like not much activity here. Any one upgraded from 70D. Any significant differences in terms ISO performance and Focus issues with 80D compared to 70d? Video IQ seems to be improved a lot. 80D is started showing up on Canon with good discounts. Thinking of upgrading to 80d. I just spent $200 on 70d to fix mother board. Hoping to see 70d for good price and move to 80d.

Thanks

Sold my M3 kit here on the forum so decided to upgrade my T6s to the 80D. Picked up an 80D with 18-55 lens from Canon Refurbished so I'm looking forward to being able to contribute to this thread once it arrives! I realize the 80D is only a minor upgrade to the T6s, but it will be nice to have the ability to MFA lenses, make adjustments to AF, and use the same batteries as my 7D2.
