How are you liking the 17-55 on you 80d?

I replaced a Tamron 28-75 With it. It totally blows it away, I happen to think it's awesome and super sharp !

Cheers,
JOE

With Sigma 105mm OS macro lens. I think Macro lens produces sharp pics across the frame. Lens makes constant loud noises while using. Not sure what is wrong with it.

Took my old Canon 24-105L for a stroll today. Hadn't used it for ages, but it used to be my favourite lens. Strange how easy it is to forget you've got such a good lens in your gear. These "flowers" are just weeds, by the way, but I like the colours.

yup, I'm back at it again. this camera is pretty damn good if you ask me. these two images where snapped from under trees in the shadows. the image to the left was from a single image and adjustments in lightroom. and the right from a 5 photo HDR merge. I say the IQ is damn good for a crop sensor ! the last one is a straight out of camera .

A few from a recent Red Arrows show here in Lyme Regis. I found both the 80D and the Sigma lens performed well at an air-show. As a point of note, it's well worth setting the focus limit on the Sigma to 6m-Inf. instead of Full as the lens will be much quicker to lock-on if you lose an aircraft from the focus points. I used Zone AF, with just the centre block selected (default for this setting), AI Servo with focus triggered from the shutter button.

Anyone have shots with the 80d and sigma 150-600? More interested in 600 really since reviews say soft at the long end

There's lots in the corresponding Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary lens archive with the 80D. Some real stunners in there.

Lot's of folks have focus calibrated their lens and it turned them into a different beast. I did mine just yesterday but haven't had the chance or time to shoot anything with it yet. The lens also needs good light to get the best results out of it.

Here's one more. Not the best butterfly shot but, it's at 600mm.

Picked up a 9+ condition EF 70-200mm f/4L IS today. Not too much to shoot as the weather is crap but got out for a minute with my assistant gardener. He works for just peanuts and sunflower seeds.
