I'm trying to get my JPG settings dialled in for 4x6 prints. I think I have it mostly sorted out (-2 NR; +1 sharpening), but I'm not sure what size JPG I should be shooting. I don't want to have to resize JPGs before I submit them electronically for 4x6 printing.
Should I use the "small" setting for the JPGs? "Small" is 2496 x 1664, so it is still larger than what I normally submit JPGs at (1800x1200). I'm a bit worried about detail loss as a result of the data that is "tossed out" due to resizing by the printer. I don't know if it will be marginal or significant. If it will be significant, should I just use "Large" (4896 x 3264) JPGs and resize them before I sent them off to be printed?
