So at the end of the ski season the resort turns over the hill to the snowmobilers. Its not a hill climb like jackson hole, and its not a straight up drag race like a ice drag. They race on packed snow, flying up one of the easier ski runs. There is everything from brand new stock trail sleds to full on, who knows how much horsepower, drag sleds. I've been around snowmobiles my whole life and I would never have thought that a semi smoothed track with 300+ chisel studs could hook on snow the way they did. Many of the outlaw class sleds would carry the front ski's the entire way up the hill. I rented the 7dmk2 for the weekend and was blown away with the focusing system. It chewed through 2 batteries in a 10hr day but it was sooo worth it. Anyways, here are some of my best from the weekend.
