If simply done for memories then I would prefer the color so I remembered the true nature of everything.

It's just an outdoor meeting/eating spot at Eldorado Canyon in Nv. I just thought it would be a neat place for a gathering.

Color or b/w, perhaps more contrast? Or crop in closer to the fireplace.

Have you considered the roadside picture?

The original picture, and it's b/w conversion both appear to be "too cleaned up" for me. But I don't know exactly what you were aiming for.

The roadside picture has more character too me with the old Coca Cola sign, old truck (Jeep?) and stumps.

If you're using the photo to show a group this place where you're suggesting they meet, I think the color version would go further toward persuading them.

You have found a neat location...work the site to find the bestest viewpoint...nice shot though.
