Yeah, I don't have any lights. This was a spontaneous shoot with just a few street lamps that were very yellow. I'll have to really retouch it in LR and PS. thanks for the advice! Canon 6D

Some owner's don't mind it, but it's usually preferable to light the car, and then bring in the background/foreground as a separate image to make the car pop. He could also edit the photo in Lightroom twice. Once for the background and again for the car and then merge them using a mask in Photoshop I do it all the time. In lightroom just desaturate the colors that appear on the car, I wouldn't desaturate them completely, maybe to -75 at the most because then they can look monochrome which obviously you don't want either. -50 is usually the magic number in my opinion. Thanks! Maybe some creative PSing of the sky in the background would add some atmosphere. It was very late at night. Thanks for the welcome! Canon 6D

I actually already have a masked the car off in PS for the purposes of treating the car separate from the background. However, I liked the different colors on the car. Maybe it's a little too much. It was more of a mood I was going for. Thanks for the CC! I'm gong to do another edit of this one. Canon 6D

Apr 01, 2016 18:22 | #10 The idea to process the photos in two ways, the background and the car, and then merge is right on. Simply fixing the color on the car will fix the image right up. Andrew | Midwest Automotive
